Prof.dr sc.med Bratislav Trifunović

Bratislav Trifunović was born on 26 February 1962 in Despotovac, Serbia.
He is the Founder, Owner and Director of the Special Surgical Hospital Trifunović, author of dozens of papers published in journals of lower scientific degree and dozens of oral and poster presentations at congresses in Serbia and abroad.

Education: Elementary School Despotovac 1968-1976, Grammar School Ćuprija 1976-1980, Medical Faculty Belgrade – Department in Kragujevac 1981-1986, Specialization in General Surgery 1988-1992, MC Ćuprija, MMA Belgrade.
Specialist exam in General Surgery passed with excellent results in 1992; subspecialisation in Clinical Oncology in 2013, master's degree 1994-1997, at the MMA Belgrade (master's thesis Radical Lymphadenectomy in Patients Operated for Distal Third Rectal Cancer); doctoral studies 1997-2001, at the MMA Belgrade (doctoral thesis Contribution to the Choice of Surgical Method in the Surgical Treatment of Distal Third Rectal Cancer completed in 2001).

Employment record: 1986-1988 Medical Centre Despotovac; 1988-2001 MC Ćuprija General Surgery Department; 1992-1995 Department Surgeon; 1995-2001 Head of the General Surgery Department; 2001-2008; 2008-2021 MMA Belgrade (2009-2013 Head of the Colorectal Surgery Department; 2013-2019 Departmental Surgeon; 2019-2021 Head of the Gastrointestinal Surgery Department); 2021 – Founder, Owner and Director of the Special Surgical Hospital Trifunović in Belgrade.

Teaching activities and titles: 2006-2015 Professor at the Medical College Ćuprija. On 03/12/2009 elected Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade. On 04/12/2014 re-elected as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade. On 07/02/2017 elected Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade.
